USACE Louisville District intends to award a sole source out-of-scope contract modification to HDR-CH2M JV under Contract W912QR17C0046 for A/E Design Services for the renovation of Building 1600 at Scott AFB in Illinois. The contract must include a foundation redesign for the seismic retrofit drilled piers. Additional options for the redesign of the South and West facing drilled piers will be included in the modification. This work is considered out-of-scope because it involves a quantity of additional cost greater than what was originally scoped in the base contract. This out-of-scope modification will be issued on a sole source basis. This notice of intent is not to be considered a request for quotations or competitive proposals. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Government's intent to proceed with a sole source modification to HDR-CH2M JV under Contract W912QR17C0046. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. All responses received within 15 calendar days of the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the direction of the Government. Information received in response to this synopsis will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
