Project Location: Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, OH Project Description: This project is a Design/Bid/Build. Facility 10271 requires replacement of heating, ventilating, and cooling (HVAC) systems and controls. The air handling units and mix boxes require a life cycle replacement to ensure reliable climate control. This construction project includes the replacement of AHU 1, 2, 4 and 5 and associated mixing boxes; as well as ancillary work to improve working conditions throughout. Include with new AHU’s; DDC controls, variable speed fans, occupancy schedule with standby mode, enthalpy economizer, supply air temperature and static pressure reset, preheat coil, Merv 13 final filter with Merv 8 prefilter. This project will include replacing the Chilled water supply and relocation of a chiller. Work includes related pumps, pipe, insulation, valves, power supply, controls, cooling tower basin, and modify structural supports as necessary. New cooling tower basin will be constructed, and existing cooling towers relocated. The project will include a base bid with several options/phases New cooling tower basin; relocate cooling towers; install new pumps and piping; demo and install chiller and associated piping, pumps and equipment Remove and install AHU with associated ductwork, piping and equipment (4k – 42k CFM) Project will comply with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 requirements, as well as standards established in UFC-3-410-01 (HVAC Systems), UFC 3-401-01 (Mechanical Engineering), UFC 3-520-01 (Design, Interior Electric Systems), UFC 3-530-01 (Design, Interior & Exterior Lighting and Controls), NFPA 13 (Standard for the installation of sprinkler systems), NFPA 101 (Life Safety Code), NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code).
