The Hart County Sheriff Office (HCSO) will provide increased law enforcement services on lands and waters administered by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at the projects described below in addition to the HCSO normal level of service. The USACE has proprietary jurisdiction within federal regulations overall project lands and waters, and the HCSO have jurisdiction to enforce all state and local laws as may exist. Concurrent patrol and enforcement service by both the USACE and the HCSO is an optimal approach to assuring a safe and healthful environment for public use of USACE project land and waters.
