The work includes offshore borrow-area dredging and beachfill placement—such as about 600,000 cubic yards at Cape May, 1,500,000 cubic yards at Absecon Island, and 2,000,000 cubic yards at Long Beach Island—plus associated dune crossovers, sand fencing, dune grass, outfalls, and structure relocation or removal. The solicitation is expected in FY2027, and all contract work must be completed no later than March 1, 2028. Input is requested on local PLA experience, skilled-labor shortages, scheduling sensitivities, likely PLA cost impacts, and whether firms would bid with or without a PLA requirement.
