W912PM23B0018 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to perform maintenance dredging at Back Sound to Lookout Bight & NPS Channels, Carteret County, North Carolina The work will consist of removal and disposal of shoaled material that has accumulated in the channel since they were last dredged. Dredging of the channels shall be performed by cutter suction/pipeline. The dredging depth is 7 feet plus 2 feet of allowable overdepth. Disposal of dredged material for Federal Navigation Channel to Back Sound shall be placed on “Sandbag Island”. Disposal of dredged material for Federal Navigation Channel to Lookout Bight and National Park Service Lighthouse Channel shall be placed on Lighthouse Beach. Environmental windows Nesting shorebirds NPS sound side beaches & “Sandbag Island”: Sept. 1 – Mar. 31 This solicitation will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 29 September 2023. The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, facsimiles, etc) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 – Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the size standard is $37,000,000.00.
