W912PM23B0012 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to perform maintenance Coastal Storm Risk Management at Wrightsville Beach, New Hanover County, North Carolina The work shall consist of dredging of the offshore borrow area and beach placement of the dredge material. The dredging shall be performed by an ocean certified hopper or ocean certified pipeline dredge. Dredging depths vary from 55 to 60 feet depending on the borrow area zone. The estimated quantity of material to be placed is approximately 1,050,000 cubic yards. Placement of dredged material shall be on the beach at Wrightsville Beach. The work will also include shaping the beach fill and providing beach pre-placement, post-placement and post construction surveys. All beach work is to be completed during the established environmental window of 16 November through 30 April. Dredging with pipeline dredges will be limited to the period of 16 November through 30 April. Hopper dredging will be limited to the period of 1 December to 31 March. This solicitation is unrestricted. The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 13 April 2023. The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, facsimiles, etc) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 – Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the size standard is $37,000,000.00. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible to receive an award from any Government solicitation.
