W912PM22B0027 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to perform maintenance dredging of Silver Lake Harbor and Manteo Interior Channel, Hyde and Dare Counties, North Carolina The work shall consist of maintenance dredging, Manteo Interior Channels, Dare County, North Carolina. Approximately 323,000 cubic yards of material is to be removed from Ranges 14A, 14B, 16, 17, and 17 Extension. Dredging in Range 14A and 14B 12’+2’ volume over base, will be a contract option. Disposal of dredged material will be on existing disposal islands. Disposal of dredged material for optional work will be on Island H. The dredging shall be performed by hydraulic pipeline dredge. Method of disposal of dredged material will be by control of effluent on all disposal islands except Island H. Island H is a confined disposal area with a containment dike and 2 spillway structures. There is an environmental window for placement of dredged material on disposal islands from September 1 to March 31 for the protection of nesting waterbirds. Additionally, approximately 300,000 cubic yards of material is to be removed from Big Foot Slough Channel. The placement of dredged material will be on Bigfoot Slough Island. This dredging shall be performed by hydraulic pipeline dredge. Method of placement of dredged material will be by control of effluent. There is an environmental window for placement of dredged material on Bigfoot Slough Island from September 1 to March 31 for the protection of nesting waterbirds. This solicitation is a 100% Small Business set-aside. The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.00. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 18 July 2022. The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, facsimiles, etc) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 – Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the size standard is $30,000,000.00. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible to receive an award from any Government solicitation.
