Note: There is no Amendment 2, as of today, 9/17/21, actual amendments issued are Amendment 1 and Amendment 3. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract for Demolition of Lockmaster’s Residence, Shop, and Conex Box Storage Container Lock and Dam #2 Elizabethtown, NC, W912PM21Q0028. THIS SOLICITATION IS 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE: This solicitation is anticipated to be issued under FAR Part 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) resulting in the award of a single firm fixed price (FFP) Purchase Order. NAICS Code: 238910, Site Preparation Contractors, and the size standard is $16,500,000.00. THE MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION FOR THIS PROJECT IS BETWEEN $25,000,00 - $100,000.00 Work consists of the Contractor providing all necessary labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, supervision for asbestos abatement, demolition of two buildings (lockmaster’s residence and the shop building), remove the demolition debris and Conex structure, and grade and re-seed site. The contractor shall submit a copy of an Asbestos Removal Permit obtained from the North Carolina Health Hazards Control Unit prior beginning work. During contract performance the Contractor shall provide air monitoring and clearance once the asbestos removal is complete, provide a written report documenting the removal and proper disposal of all asbestos containing materials including a receipt of disposal and chain of custody document. The Contractor shall be certified in the removal, treatment, handling, and disposal of asbestos-containing material, and the subsequent cleaning of the affected environment, and shall comply with Federal and State Regulations which mandate work practices. Asbestos must be removed in accordance with, but not limited to: EPA, State of North Carolina, and OSHA asbestos regulations. The Government will not provide written paper copies of the solicitation. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, facsimiles, etc.) will be provided. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. Potential contractors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any amendments.
