Kerr Lake Project ________________________________________________________________________ NAICS Code: 115310 (FSC F099) Small Business Size Standard: $7,500,000.00 average annual receipts The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District, is seeking information regarding the capability and availability of qualified contractors to provide Cultural Resources Assessment Survey of Timber Harvest Areas at John H. Kerr Lake Project in Boydton, VA. The Government is requesting information from interested and capable sources for the purpose of identifying sources that can meet the Government's requirement and also help determine how to issue the solicitation. The information provided must contain enough detail to demonstrate ability to meet the Government's requirement as described in the Project Information listed below. It is the intent of the Government to solicit and award one (1) firm fixed price contract which will be procured in accordance with the FAR, DFARS, AFARS, and USACE Acquisition Instructions. The anticipated performance period for this contract is twelve (12) months from date of award. The solicitation will be a request for quote (RFQ) that will be evaluated using simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Part 13. The responses are for informational purposes only and do no obligate the Government or Contractor in any way. PROJECT INFORMATION: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District plans to conduct various timber harvesting operations around the JHK property. The purpose of this contract is to conduct required cultural resource assessments in compliance with sections 106 and 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act. In addition, surveys need to be in compliance with various State regulations (Virginia and North Carolina) depending on the location of the planned timber harvest area. Because timber harvesting involves activities including road construction, dragging of material on skids, and other general ground-disturbing activities that have the potential to adversely affect previously unidentified historic properties, a cultural resource assessment is required to identify any significant historic properties that may potentially be adversely affected by such activities. Additionally, a cultural resources assessment will also be used to identify and protect previously identified cultural resources within the JHK areas of potential effect (APE) that are eligible or potentially eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Cultural resources studies that have been previously conducted for the JHK and are available through State preservation offices. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENT: Interested parties are to provide the firm's capabilities on no more than 10 pages and should include firm's name, address, phone number, email and point of contact; capability to perform services mentioned above; and business size to include small business designation and any small business sub-categories. 1) Provide the following information on your three (3) most recent contracts for projects of similar size and scope you have performed.
