The contractor shal... The USACE Army Corps of Engineers Wilmington District is contemplating a solicitation to make repairs at the W. Kerr Scott Dam Warrior Creek Campsite in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. The contractor shall remove and dispose of approximately 150 6” X 6” X 8’ landscape timbers and install at the border of each campsite .40 pressure treated 6” X 6” X 8’ Landscape Timbers. Timbers shall be fastened together at the joint with galvanized landscape nails and connected to the ground using 2’ 3/8” T rebar, two per timber. Timbers shall be installed utilizing the existing layout of each campsite. The driveway for each campsite is approximately 50’ long X 13’ wide and the impact area is approximately 30’ long X 20’ wide. Each campsite’s impact area will be level with the driveway. Each campsite driveway will be graveled with ABC crushed stone, and the impact area graveled with #78 stone. Stone will be spread 4 to 5 inches thick. The contractor shall replace 9 water hydrants and install new Freezeless ¾” Woodford Yard Hydrants model Y34 or an approved equivalent make and model. Hydrants shall be installed 2’ in-ground, filled with 78 stone above the weep hole for proper drainage, and set in concrete. Elbow fittings for each hydrant shall be brass. The contractor shall replace all electrical breakers and receptacles at each campsite. All campsites has a 50/30/20 amp breaker and receptacle with the exception of 1 campsite which has two (2) 20 amp duplex receptacles. The contractor shall also replace three (3) 200 amp service panels and ten (10) 60 amp double pole breakers. The contractor shall reset at each campsite, 2 lantern posts, 1 pedestal grill, 1 picnic table, 1 fire ring campsite markers. Contractor shall utilize existing amenities at each campsite. Any replacements shall be furnished by the Government and provided to the contractor for install. All grills, lantern posts, and fire rings shall be set in concrete. All construction debris shall be removed and bare soil areas shall be covered with a single ground mulch. The work site is located at W. Kerr Scott Dam & Reservoir Warrior Creek Campsite, Wilkesboro, North Carolina. The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about January 1, 2020. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. This solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238990 – All Other Specialty Trade Contractors, and the size standard is $16,500,000.00.
