SF-00012-17 Repair Physical Therapy Area Project Description: The contractor shall renovate specified areas within the gym located within Building O190M located on the SOTF compound at Ft Bragg. The renovation will include removing the existing wall between spaces 3054 and 3056 and stairs and mezzanines within each space and the construction of a new second floor that spans both spaces. The renovation will create new first floor and second floor spaces within the project area. The new first floor area will contain 12 to 14 GFGI physical therapy tables about the perimeter of the space with a cabinet between each table. The new second floor will include a Storage space and an Office/Equipment space. The remaining open area within the new second floor will be used as a Recovery Space with GFGI chairs located within it. The project area will be designated for able-bodied only personnel but compliance with ADA regulations to the greatest extent practical is required. Portions of the building adjacent to the project area will be occupied by Government personnel during construction. The following is a detailed description of elements included in this project. Demolish existing wall that currently separates spaces 3054 and 3055 along with stairs and mezzanines within each space. Construct full second floor within existing 3054/3055 space and staircase to provide access to new second floor. The new second floor shall include two (2) enclosed spaces. 1) Storage and 2)Office/Equipment. Windows shall be provided along the south wall of the new first and second floors to maximize visibility into/out of the space. Size of windows were designed to allow placement of desks/furniture beneath them without obstructing the view. Blinds or other covering shall be specified to allow User ability to cover windows if needed. Receptacles shall be added for GFGI furniture and equipment. It is assumed that the existing electrical service serving the space is adequate. Provide modifications to the existing building electrical, communications (black and red) and HVAC systems as required to support the new spaces. The existing building Fire Protection sprinkler system shall be modified to accommodate the new spaces. New dimmable LED type light fixtures shall be installed within all new spaces of the project. Provide new fire alarm and mass notification system devices within the new spaces. July 1, 2020 - Site visit roster included for interested contractors. July 2, 2020 - Extends bid opening date to July 23, 2020. July 17, 2020 - Extends bid opening date to August 13, 2020. Any determination to extend the opening again will be made the previous week well in advance to notify industry and NLT 7 August 2020. August 7, 2020 - Extends the bid opening date to 27 August 2020, incorporates FAR Clauses 52.204-24 AND 52.204-26 into the solicitation (Section 00 45), changes FAR 52.204-25 from by reference to full text (Section 00 70). August 14, 2020 - Incorporates attached revised spec section 01 45 00.0010 and drawings. ProjNet Accessibility changed from 10 days to 7 days.
