The requirement to post for 15 days was met under the previous solicitation number. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract for the removal of two existing penstock doors, and the fabrication and installation of two new steel penstock access doors at Philpott Dam Powerhouse. The dimensions of the new steel access door assembly are approximately 2'-8" wide by 3'-9" high. The penstock is a steel conduit that is 9-feet in diameter. The two new penstock access doors will be installed and functionality test performed. Fabrication requirements and workmanship shall also conform to the requirements of specifications and drawings provided in a scope of work. Qualifications of welders and welding operators - Welders or welding operators who make acceptable procedure qualification tests will be considered performance-qualified for the welding procedure used. Performance qualification will be determined in accordance with ASME BPVC SEC IX. Certify that the qualification of welders and welding operators and tack welders who will perform structural steel welding have been qualified for the particular type of work to be done. Philpott Powerhouse, Smith River, Virginia The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000.00.
