Broad, Pungo and South... *Bid opening extended to 9/12/2019 at 2PM EST* The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract for the Storm Damage Flood Control Projects Ellis Swamp. Broad, Pungo and South Creeks Design Rehabilitation. The project consist of the repair and/or replacement of multiple pipe culvert outfalls along existing creeks and the removal and disposal of all fallen and leaning trees within the project limits for four separate Flood Control project locations that were damaged during Hurricane Matthew. The four project locations are: Broad Creek, Pungo Creek, Ellis Swamp, and South Creek. The work consists of removal and replacement of damages pipe culverts, restoring creek bank around end of pipe culverts by backfilling and placing riprap stream protection. The work includes the repair and/or replacement of 27 pipe culverts and the removal of approximately 1420 fallen and/or leaning trees. Three of the projects (Broad Creek, Pungo Creek, and South Creek) are located within Beaufort County, North Carolina with Ellis Swamp located within Gates County, North Carolina. The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $1,000,000,000 and $5,000,000.00. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about July 23, 2019. The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, facsimiles, etc) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. This solicitation is a 100% set aside for Small Businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the size standard is $36,500,000.00.
