The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District, requires a contract to provide Janitorial Services at Philpott Dam and Reservoir under solicitation number W912PM-24-R-0020. Description of work: These facilities include one (1) Visitor Center, eight (8) public recreation areas, and the Philpott Powerhouse. Services in public recreation areas will include cleaning in and around public sanitary facilities, emptying waste receptacles in parks, and policing for loose trash and waste. Services in the Visitor Center and Philpott Powerhouse will include waste removal, policing for waste around the facility, and general cleaning of floors, walls, fixtures, equipment, restrooms, offices, common areas, etc. Philpott Lake is a nearly 3,000-acre reservoir located near Bassett, Virginia on the Smith River in Henry, Patrick, and Franklin Counties and includes an additional 6,400 acres of park, operations, and natural resource management lands owned by the US Army Corps of Engineers. Finally, the contractor shall comply with all applicable federal and state environmental laws, regulations, statutes, and rules. This solicitation is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 30 August 2024. The proposal due date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, facsimiles, etc) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561720 – Janitorial Services and the size standard is $22,000,000.00.
