Dredging for Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach (NWSSB)
This project involves dredging approximately 80,000 cubic yards of sediment in the open waters of the Pacific Ocean near Anaheim Bay, with placement at two separate disposal sites. The work is for Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach to maintain an inner approach channel to a depth of -41 feet MLLW and a width of 280 feet. The project site is exposed to a high-energy wave environment with typical wave heights over 5 feet and long wave periods, posing significant operational challenges. The performance location is the Pacific Ocean at the entrance to Anaheim Bay for Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach.
