This project consists of the replacement of the existing grass surface at Mustang Field w ith a new artificial turf surface per the specifications and proposed layout. The work includes excavation of the top 11” of the existing field, proper base and subgrade for the new surf ace to provide support and allow for proper drainage, a concrete border around the turf and all other related work. Optional items include replacing the ballfield lighting, replacing the existing outfield fence and adding artificial turf to the bleacher area.

The scope of this project is to replace the existing grass surface at Mustang Field with a new artificial turf surface. Work includes the removal of the existing grass surface, excavation of the existing soil, removal of all irrigation lines, installation of a concrete border around the field to contain the turf, installation of anchoring systems for home plate, all bases and the pitching rubber, removal and reinstallation of the existing fencing, installation of new artificial turf per plans, including field markings and modifications to existing gates to ensure that they do not damage the turf surface when opening. Bid options are to replace the existing field lighting, replace the outfield fence and install artificial turf around the spectator bleachers, Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, AZ
