The general work for the project consists of relocations of two City of Whittier water supply pipelines near the western embankment of the San Gabriel River and relocations near the eastern embankment of the San Gabriel River that consist of a Suburban Water Systems water supply pipeline, and a Sanitation District of Los Angeles County brine sewer. In addition, a filter diaphragm will be placed along each pipeline to protect against seepage along the pipes. There will be some structural modification of both utility galleries. Approximate quantities include 7000 cubic yards of excavation and approximately 1500 linear feet of temporary bypass for the utilities. Location of this work is Whittier Narrows Dam, vicinity Pico Rivera, CA Magnitude of Construction Project is $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00 Estimated period of performance is 210 days (Base). The solicitation includes an option, if exercised, that will add 455 days to the period of performance. This Invitation for Bid is being conducted under FAR part 14 Sealed Bidding is Unrestricted.
