Project consists of dredging 1,250,000 cubic yards of sand from an ocean borrow site and placement of the sand onto Surfside Beach. The project also includes excavation of 100,000 cubic yards of sand from Newport Beach and transporting it and placement within the Newport Beach groin field. The estimated magnitude of this project is: Between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. The total contract duration is estimated at 160 calendar days. This acquisition issued an Unrestricted IFB awarded under FAR Part 14 Sealed Bidding. The solicitation to be issued on or about 26 July 2023 with a tentative bid opening date of 25 August 2023. Sub-contracting plans are required for all construction contracts awarded to a large business when the award amount exceeds $1,500,000.00. If the offeror is a large business, the firm will be required to submit a subcontracting plan as part of its bid package. Plans and specifications will not be provided in hard paper copy.
