SUBJECT: Pre-solicitation notice for Firetrucks/Emergency Safety Equipment Maintenance 405th AFSB, Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) Italy, Maintenance Division. To whom it may concern, The United States Government, through the Regional Contracting Office, Italy (Vicenza Office), intends to procure a contract for the subject as follows. The intent of this letter is to advertise the upcoming requirement for as many potentially interested companies. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICES NEEDED: This is a non-personal service requirement to provide field and sustainment level maintenance and repair services of U.S. Government owned, European Union (EU) manufactured specialized emergency safety vehicles. The contractor shall provide LRC Maintenance Division with full services pertaining to the scheduled maintenance services and repair of Government owned and operated equipment. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: The work to be performed under this contract will be performed on site at the Installation Maintenance Activity within the Vicenza Area. Occasionally, upon request of the contractor, given acceptable reasons, performance of required work may be authorized, off the Installation at the contractor shop. METHOD OF CONTRACTING AND AWARD: The method of award will be clearly indicated in the Request for Quotation. TYPE OF CONTRACT: Firm Fixed Price Item with a Time and Material Item for Unscheduled Repair Services. FUNDING: Funding is not available at the time the requirement is synopsized. Any resulting contract will be awarded when funding is made available. DURATION OF CONTRACT: The contract term is a base year and two option-years. The option years are not guaranteed. PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE: The pre-quotation conference will be conducted via Microsoft Teams application and the date and time will be provided on a later date to whom is interested. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Contractors that are interested in participating to this acquisition shall send an e-mail not later than 31 January 2022, 17:00 hrs. to the following addresses: patrizia.meloni2.ln@army.mil and joseph.c.freeman.civ@army.mil SUBMITTAL INFORMATION: It is requested that interested vendors submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities statement package demonstrating ability to perform the services listed above. In order to deem the vendors' responsibility, such package shall include the following documentation: Certificato Camera di Commercio (Certificate of the Chamber of Commerce) NOT older than six (6) months at the time set forth for the receipt of the source sought inquiry. Self-certifications are NOT allowed. The business purpose (oggetto sociale) should include but is not limited to: maintenance and repair of firetrucks and emergency safety equipment/European Union (EU) manufactured specialized emergency safety vehicles; SAM Registration. In order to register on SAM website ( https://www.sam.gov ), vendors must have a DUNS number ( obtainable on http://dbitaly.dnb.com ) and a NATO code (obtainable on https://eportal.nspa.nato.int/AC135Public/scage/CageList.aspx). The successful offeror to be awarded this contract MUST be currently registered in the SAM database. NOTE: If the decision is made to issue a Solicitation for this requirement, additional information regarding the Performance of Work will accompany the solicitation.
