SUBJECT: Pre-solicitation notice for inspection, maintenance, and relacement of backflow preventers installed at the military installations of USAG Italy. To whom it may concern, The United States Government, through the Regional Contracting Office, Italy (Vicenza Office), intends to procure a contract for the subject as follows. The intent of this letter is to advertise the upcoming requirement for as many potentially interested companies. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICES NEEDED: This is a non-personal service requirement for inspection, testing, maintenance and replacement of backflow preventers installed at USAG Italy in order to provide an effective program to control cross-connection which is essential to ensure protection against contaminants and pollutants. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: The performance of the service sites are located in Vicenza (Caserma Ederle, Caserma Del Din, Villaggio della Pace, Longare, ASP #7, Lerino and Torri Di Quartesolo). METHOD OF CONTRACTI NG AND AWARD: The method of award will be clearly indicated in the Request for Quotation. TYPE OF CONTRACT: Firm Fixed Price DURATION OF CONTRACT: The contract term is a base year and four option-years. The option years are not guaranteed. PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE: The pre-proposal conference will be conducted tentatively in May - June 2021. Information about time and date will be provided on a later date to whom is interested. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Contractors that are interested in participating to this acquisition shall send an e-mail not later than 09 April 2021, 17:00 hrs. to the following addresses: patrizia.meloni2.ln@mail.mil and lindsay.r.jaime.civ@mail.mil SUBMITTAL INFORMATION: It is requested that interested vendors submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities statement package demonstrating ability to perform the services listed above. In order to deem the vendors' responsibility, such package shall include the following documentation: Certificato Camera di Commercio (Certificate of the Chamber of Commerce) NOT older than six (6) months at the time set forth for the receipt of the source sought inquiry. Self-certifications are NOT allowed. The business purpose (oggetto sociale) should include but is not limited to: installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems in industrial and civil buildings and/or plants (installazione, manutenzione e riparazione di impianti idraulici in edifici e/o stabilimenti industriali e civili). SAM Registration. In order to register on SAM website ( https://www.sam.gov ), vendors must have a DUNS number ( obtainable on http://dbitaly.dnb.com ) and a NATO code (obtainable on https://eportal.nspa.nato.int/AC135Public/scage/CageList.aspx). The successful offeror to be awarded this contract MUST be currently registered in the SAM database. NOTE: If the decision is made to issue a Solicitation for this requirement, additional information regarding the Performance of Work will accompany the solicitation.
