PROJECT NUMBER AND TITLE: EA 000235-9 Install Salt Barrier Gate, ASA, Livorno, Italy This is a design build project. Scope of work: The requirement is for a permanent barrier, Salt Water Intrusion Gate, to be installed in the proximity of the mounth of the Collettore Orientale, in order to prevent salt water intrusion into the canal from the Navicelli Canal. The general characteristics of the barrier and its functioning shall be in compliance with guidance by the Natural Park Authority. SOA: Contractor is required to be SOA certified OG7 or OG8. FUNDING: The project is funded. LOCATION OF THE WORK: The site of the proposed work is the Ammunition Storage Area (ASA) Livorno, Italy. MAGNITUDE OF THE PROJECT: The magnitude of the project is between $ 25,000 and $ 100.000. METHOD OF CONTRACTING: This will be a Request for Quotation resulting in a firm fixed-price contract (Design included). PERFORMANCE PERIOD: 120 calendar days as follows: Design Phase: 75 calendar days from Notice to Proceed Construction Phase: 45 calendar days from Notice to Proceed SITE VISIT: The site visit will be conducted on 26 August 2019, at 14:30 hrs. Offerors will meet at the Main Gate no. 4 Camp Darby, Tirrenia, (Pisa), Italy. MISCELLANEOUS: The solicitation package, including the technical specifications, description of the work and additional information will be posted within few weeks on Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov). To be awarded a Government contract you MUST have DUNS (Dun & Bradstreet http://fedgov.dnb.com/webform) and NCAGE (www.dlis.dla.mil/Forms/Form_AC135.asp) numbers and be registered in SAM (https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM). We will discuss this at the site visit.
