The Department of the Army, 409th CSB, RCO Bavaria is currently requesting information in order to determine if it is feasible for vendors to perform routine maintenance as FFP, so long as the age and type of the equipment is provided. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR QUOTE; WE ARE NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS This is a Sources Sought Notice only to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. A solicitation is not currently available. The U.S. Government intends to procure a Requirements Type contract for Maintenance and Repair of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV) for Rheinland-Pfalz, Bavaria, Ansbach, Stuttgart, and Wiesbaden. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this Sources Sought Notice. The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. The Government will not return submittals to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or IFB or RFP, if the Government issues one. If the Government releases a solicitation, the Government will synopsize it on the Government-wide Point of Entry. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the Government wide Point of Entry for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The anticipated NAICS code is 811198- All Other Automotive Repair and Maintenance. Description of Services: The contractor shall provide maintenance and/or repair services for US Government owned Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV), attachments and associated trailers as well as NTV's and supply repair parts for such maintenance. Make and model of equipment, as listed on the attachments, are not limited to and may vary. The services to be provided include but are not limited to routine maintenance services, repairs, host nation required safety inspections, preparation of detailed repair and maintenance cost estimates. In response to this Sources Sought Notice, please provide the following: 1. Name of the firm, point of contact, phone number, email address, DUNS number, CAGE code, small business status as listed in the System for Award Management and the corresponding NAICS code. 2. Identify subcontracting, joint ventures or teaming arrangement that will be pursued, if any. 3. Information in sufficient detail regarding previous experience (indicate whether as a prime contractor or subcontractor) on similar requirements (include size, scope, complexity, timeframe, government or commercial), pertinent certifications, etc., that will facilitate making a capability determination. 4. In your opinion, what are the risks associated with this effort? Comment on any current or potential technical, cost, schedule, or performance risks that you would like to make the Government aware of that concerns this service. 5. Describe your firm's ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects throughout the geographic area covered in the requirement. Include the maximum number of task orders your firm has managed simultaneously. Also, describe your approach and capabilities to perform maintenance and repairs on SPV. Please limit your response to five pages or less. Interested Responders may submit comments, questions and recommendations; however, the Government will not post responses or answers to submitted comments, questions, or recommendations. In addition, telephone calls will not be accepted regarding this posting.
