Q&A PWS 5.1.6 – Type B Turf Management: Will the government please accept alternatives to the equipment listed in PWS 5.1.6? ******Yes. Equipment listed is a recommendation and any other equipment will need approval from government. Will the government provide storage area to store grounds equipment that is utilized on this contract? *****No we do not provide permanent storage for equipment. See answer to question 8 below. I just wanted to confirm the only sheets needed Monday the 15th will be the pages 1 & 2, 19-29? The deliverables on page 18 won't be needed until the award? *******The deliverables will be needed after award at the prework meeting. Pages 1-2 and 19-20 are needed for May 15th. When is the start date for Carlyle Lake 2023?*****Start date depends on the timely manner of the award of contract. How many mow cycles per year for Type A in accordance with the maps? *****Approximately 14 cycles. How many mow cycles per year for Type B? *******Approximately 6 cycles. Is there a schedule for herbicide task to be followed per year?*******Approximately 6 cycles of spraying. One per month April through September. Will there be an option for equipment staging area or site to help with overnight parking of equipment?******Yes we can provide parking access for equipment while cycles are being performed. If cycles are not being performed storage will not be allowed. We will not provide secured areas for storage and parking lots available will be in public areas. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform turf maintenance at Carlyle Lake as defined in this Performance Work Statement except for those items specified as government furnished property and services. The government intends to award a contract without discussions with respective offerors. The government, however, reserves the right to conduct discussions if deemed in its best interest. Therefore, the offeror’s initial offer should contain the offeror’s best terms.The Government reserves the right to conduct discussions if later the Contracting Officer determines to be necessary. The Government may reject any and all offers if such is in the public interest; accept other than the lowest offer; and waive informalities and minor irregularities in received offers. Period of Performance: The period of performance shall be for one (1) Base Year of 12 months and four (4) one-year options with an additional 6 (six) month option at the end of the contract.
