The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District, is seeking a firm to fabricate a replacement lift gate for the Melvin Price Lock & Dam main gate, which is a hydraulic steel structure that consists of two individual lift gate leaves. Each replacement lift gate leaf is 24-feet in height and over 110-feet wide. The depth of the upstream lift gate leaf is approximately 9-feet, while the depth of the downstream lift gate leaf is approximately 10-feet. The upstream lift gate leaf weighs approximately 400,000 pounds, while the downstream lift gate leaf weighs approximately 475,000 pounds. The work covered by this contract consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, operators, supervision, supplies and materials and incidentals necessary to perform steel fabrication and delivery of the replacement lift gate for Melvin Price Lock & Dam Main Lock.
