USACE St. Louis - UMRR Harlow Island Embankment Contract Information: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District, is seeking businesses that are capable of providing the following: Excavation of shallow swales, construction of embankments, and seeding / turfing. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or make a contract award. NO AWARD will be made from this Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a request for proposal, quote or invitation for bid. The sole purpose of this notice is to identify potential System for Award Management (SAM) Database registered businesses that are interested and capable of performing this work. Project Scope: The work covered by this Sources Sought includes furnishing all equipment, labor, services, supplies and materials necessary for construction of the HREP project. Typical work includes, but is not limited to the following: clearing, grubbing, and stripping of existing vegetation; excavation of shallow swales; construction of embankments; and establishment of turf. The anticipated period of performance for this project is approximately 18 months. NAICS CODE: 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction SIZE STANDARD: $39.5M CONTRACT ESTIMATED RANGE: More than $10 Million Responders to this Sources Sought should submit up to a ten page narrative that outlines the following capabilities: Experience with the excavation of shallow swales. Experience with the construction of embankments, including establishment of turf. Experience with extensive tree clearing in a densely forested area. Experience working in an unprotected section of the Mississippi River subject to river stage limitations. Performance of work as the Prime Contractor on a Federal contract. Coordination of work on sites where other contractors may concurrently be performing work under a separate contract. Experience as Prime Contractor managing multiple subcontractors on the same contract. Documentation supporting the submitting firm's capability to bond projects between $5,000,000 and $15,000,000 for a single project as the Prime Contractor on a construction contract.
