The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has a solicitation to acquire a truckable, modular workboat for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Saint Louis District (CEMVS). The vessel shall be modular, so as to be disassembled for over road transport. Modular as defined here includes a single hull with removable pilothouse, pillar, and towknees. Vessel shall have bumpers around the perimeter and on the towknees to protect the vessel during towing operations. The vessel hull size shall be between 25 and 26 feet long (Will not be longer than 26 feet), and not more than 16 feet and not less than 15 feet wide. Hull depth from the bottom to the main deck at midships shall be approximately 6 foot. The overall vessel design and arrangement is to be developed from the existing “truckable” towboats currently available on the market with steering and flanking rudders.
