INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS SYNOPSIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Calcasieu River Saltwater Barrier Sector Gate Replacement. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside procurement per FAR 19.5. NAICS Code: 332312. Solicitation Number W912P825R0031 is anticipated to issue as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The resulting contract shall be a firm fixed price (FFP) contract. The solicitation will be issued on or about 15 August 2025, with a proposal due date established. The actual proposal due date will be provided when the solicitation is issued. The solicitation documents for this procurement will be posted on the www.SAM.gov website and can be accessed from the link located at https://www.sam.gov. You will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader for .pdf files (www.adobe.com) in order to open most files posted by the CEMVN. You are encouraged, for marketing purposes, to register as an Interested Vendor in SAM.gov. The work consists of fabricating one new sector gate (two leaves) and delivering the sector gate to the Calcasieu River Saltwater Barrier in Westlake, LA. Sector gate assembly includes steel plates and structural shapes, fender rack assembly, gear rack, walkway, hinge and pintle castings, and machined components (bushings, pins, etc.) for hinge and pintle. Fabrication will be in accordance with AWS D1.5 and additional USACE fabrication requirements outlined in UFGS 05 59 20. The gate will be coated with USACE Paint System No. 6-A-Z (zinc rich primer and coal tar epoxy). Each sector gate leaf has a radius of 34’-8” and a height of 28’-0”. Each leaf weighs approximately 100 kips. The offeror must be American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) certified. Prospective Offerors must be registered in the Department of Defense “System for Award Management” (SAM) database prior to submittal of an Offer in response to the Solicitation.
