This contract is for the hydraulic dredging and placement of material to construct and potentially maintain a saltwater barrier sill on the Mississippi River between Mile 63.0 and 64.0 Above Head of Passes, near Baton Rouge to the Gulf. The work will be performed in that specified river location, using material from a designated river bottom borrow area. The estimated construction cost for the dredging project is between $10 million and $25 million. The solicitation notes that a bid opening date will be set by a future amendment.
