The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) New Orleans District has the following requirement: NOTE: THIS IS A SYNOPSIS, NOT A SOLICITATION. SPECIFICATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME; THEREFORE, NO QUESTIONS OF A TECHNICAL OR CONTRACTUAL NATURE WILL BE ACCEPTED OR ANSWERED UNTIL THE SOLICITATION IS ISSUED. INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS SYNOPSIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. This solicitation, W912P823B0049, will be issued as Invitation for Bid (IFB) and resulting in the award of a single firm fixed price (FFP) contract. The solicitation will be issued on or about 4th quarter 2024. Actual issue date and anticipated bid opening will be shown when the solicitation is issued. This is an UNRESTICTED procurement. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 237990 with a size standard of $45M. The work consists of clearing grubbing; floodwall and stop log construction, placement of steel sheet piling, H-piling, Pipe piles geotextile, geogrid, grouted riprap, prestressed concrete piles; installation of metal ladders, stairs, cat walk, railings; installation of vertical wick drains; stone and bedding construction; slide gates and hoist, precast concrete bridge, steel vehicular swing type flood gate, excavation and embankment placement; miscellaneous metal work, painting, turf establishment; chain link fencing, surfacing, structural excavation and backfill, electrical work, and other related incidental work. This work is located in the vicinity of Laplace, LA. of St. John the Baptist Parish. The estimated value of this work is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000.
