INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS SYNOPSIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. This procurement is a competitive Set-Aside for 100% Small Business firms only. NAICS Code: 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Construction. This solicitation, W912P821B0042, is anticipated to be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). The resulting contract shall be firm fixed price (FFP). The solicitation will be issued on or about 11 May 2021. The anticipated bid opening date is set for 14 June 2021; however, actual date of bid opening will be determined upon the solicitation advertisement date. The proposed work includes the new excavation of a segment of the Comite River Diversion earthen channel and associated slope protection of the excavated channel. New drainage ditches will be constructed, and culverts will be placed to drain the site. All areas disturbed by construction operations will be fertilized and seeded for turf establishment. Additional work on the project will include construction of drainage ditches and culverts to drain the site, clearing and grubbing, and fertilizing and seeding. The project will be constructed utilizing conventional excavation equipment including bulldozers, excavators, compactors, lowboys, dump trucks, backhoes, large cranes, graders, water trucks, and pumps. The estimated magnitude is between $25,000,000.00 and $35,000,000.00. The Government will not provide written paper copies of the solicitation. Potential contractors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any amendments.
