The work is also located along Mermentau River with continuous shallow draft ship traffic, and requires the delivery, handling & placement of large jetty stone, ranging in size from 2 to 4 tons, 50% of which must be greater than or equal to 3 tons in size. The work is also located at the mouth of the Mermentau River where it meets the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico. For safety reasons, this project requires a contractor with an equipment base and plant to ensure no impacts to navigation & the ability to operate in rough seas.
