THE VENDORS SHALL PROVIDE THEIR CONTACT INFORMATION, A PRIMARY EMAIL ADDRESS, AND AN ALTERNATE EMAIL ADDRESS TO SEND THEM TOO, AND A POC. This purpose of this requirement is to solicit for the Dry-Docking of the Dredge WHEELER, which is an all steel, sea-going hopper dredge. The dimensions of the hull are: Length Overall 408 feet -3 inches Length Between Perpendiculars 384 feet -0 inches Breadth Molded 78 feet -0 inches Breadth at Wheelhouse Catwalks 82 feet -0 inches Registered Gross Tonnage 10,614.47 long tons Lightship Displacement 9,846.25 long tons Ballast, Fuel and Water 600 long tons (approx.) This Solicitation is a Total 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Due to the response for COVID-19, most federal employees have been mandated to telework, and currently only authorized personnel are allowed access to the District buildings throughout USACE. As a result, we have implemented procedures for all current and future bid openings, until such restrictions have been lifted and normal access has resumed at the MVN HQ Building. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336611. The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans, has a requirement for a contractor to drydock and repair the Dredge Wheeler, an all steel, diesel propelled, sea-going, trailing suction hopper dredge. Length overall -408 feet, 3 inches; maximum breadth-82 feet, 0 inches; minimum draft Aft-21 feet, 6 inches; minimum draft forward-17 feet, 6 inches; lightship displacement-9,876.25 long tons. It is estimated that facilities be made available on 10 October 2020. Bidding shall be limited to those shipyards in the United States located along the East Coast and Gulf Coast. Prospective bidders are encouraged to examine the vessel prior to bid opening. It is imperative that the work be completed in a timely manner so that the Wheeler can be available for the high river Mississippi River dredging season that starts in the beginning of calendar year 2021. COE intends to make the vessel available for inspection during week of 24 Aug 2020.
