This solicitation is issued as UNRESTRICTED. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336611. The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans, has a requirement for a contractor to dry-dock and repair the Dredge Wheeler, an all steel, diesel propelled, seagoing, trailing suction hopper dredge. Length overall -408 feet, 3 inches; maximum breadth-82 feet, 0 inches; minimum draft Aft-21 feet, 6 inches; minimum draft forward-17 feet, 6 inches; lightship displacement-9,876.25 long tons. Facilities must be available October 01 2019. Bidding shall be limited to those shipyards in the United States within 1600 nautical miles of the sea buoy at Southwest Pass, Mississippi River. NOTE 1: Prospective bidders are encouraged to examine the vessel prior to bid opening. The date for examining the vessel is tentatively scheduled for 31 July 2019 at 10:00AM (CST). All arrangements shall be made through Mr. Quach prior to the scheduled date. Failure to examine the vessel before submitting a bid will not be considered cause for claim against the Government.
