INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS SYNOPSIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. This procurement is for 100% SERVICE-DISABLED, VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES only. NAICS Code 237990. Solicitation No.W912P819B0020 is anticipated to issue as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). The resulting contract shall be a single Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The solicitation is anticipated to issue on or about 6 August 2019. The bid opening date is anticipated to be on 5 September 2019, however, actual date of bid opening will be determined upon the solicitation advertisement date. The work consists of sheet pile installation on the left descending bank of the Mississippi River from B/L Sta. 387+50 to B/L Sta. 409+50. Tip of steel sheet piling will be driven to elevation -41 feet for a linear distance of approximately 2,800 feet. From B/L Sta. 387+50 to B/L Sta. 406+50 the sheet pile is 61 feet long, and from B/L Sta. 406+50 to B/L Sta. 409+50 the sheet pile length is 59 feet long. The total quantity of PZ-22 sheet pile is estimated at 127,600 square feet. To install the sheet pile, a minimum amount of asphalt will be saw cut and replaced, and minimum excavation and backfill will occur. The work will also consist of placing compacted fill, placing new asphalt, fertilizing, seeding, and mulching. The estimated time of completion is 300 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. The solicitation will include 18 drawings and specifications. In accordance with FAR 36.204 Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, the estimated value of this work is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The Government will not provide written paper copies of the solicitation. Telephone, written, facsimile, or email requests for the solicitation package will not be honored. Potential contractors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any amendments.
