Description and Magnitude of Work is as follows: The work to be performed is the construction of a new 490 square feet control house above the existing control house and a new office addition on an expansion of an existing foundation located adjacent to the Calcasieu Salt Water Barrier in Lake Charles, LA, in accordance with the specifications and accompanying plans. The scope also includes the required electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work. The estimated value of this work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This is a 100% WOMEN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (WOSB) procurement. NAICS Code: 237990. This solicitation, W912P819B0017, is anticipated to be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). The resulting contract shall be firm fixed price (FFP). The solicitation will be issued on or about 22 January 2019. The anticipated bid opening date is set for 21 February 2019; however, actual date of bid opening will be determined upon the solicitation advertisement date. The Government will not provide written paper copies of the solicitation. Telephone, written, facsimile, or e-mail requests for the solicitation package will not be honored. Potential contractors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any amendments.
