The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, San Francisco District, is performing market research on the project titled: "PN082001 ERCIP Microgrid, Mountain View, California". The purpose of this notice is to receive feedback from industry on this requirement (see attachments to this notice). The information received from interested companies will help inform the Government's direction on engineering, construction, and procurement related decisions. Our agency is in the planning stages of this project and we are actively seeking input from the marketplace. We are looking to hear back from companies who have experience in the design and construction of microgrids. If your company is interested in this work, please review the attachments, and provide your input to the POCs listed in this notice. BACKGROUND: The U.S. Army 63rd Mountain View Readiness Division currently does not have on-site energy generation capability, and is fully reliant on the local utility grid (PG&E). This reliance presents an energy security vulnerability that needs to be addressed. DESCRIPTION: This project will support a total of three (3) facilities with approximately 271,855 square feet of mission critical operations. The current annual demand is 2,571,883 kWH for all three buildings. All loads are considered critical. This project will provide energy resilience for 14+ days of mission critical functions, utilizing renewable and fossil fuel energy sources. For more information, see attachment. This project does not have a acquisition method or schedule available (under development). The contract is anticipated to be awarded between calendar years 2021-2022. The Government estimates overall cost to be between $1M-$10M.
