The United States Army Corps of Engineers Chicago District intends to solicit for the Lake George East Phase II Dredging project in East Chicago, Illinois. The work involves the mechanical removal of contaminated sediments from the Lake George Canal, with placement into an adjacent disposal facility, to improve sediment quality, water quality, and habitat. This acquisition is restricted to small business concerns, with an estimated construction cost between $5 million and $10 million. The performance period for the contract is 545 calendar days. The solicitation package will be available for download online in the second quarter of Fiscal Year 2026.
