Under this notice, the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District is issuing Request for Quotation (RFQ) for: TJO Sector Gate Brake Assembly, Cook County, Illinois. ****GOVERNMENT REQUIREMENTS: In this acquisition The Government is seeking interested vendors to supply and deliver four (4) thruster drum brake assemblies. USACE is seeking four (4) new spring applied electrohydraulic thruster released drum brakes. The new brake assemblies will retrofit the current torque motor 1950 brake system as the original parts can no longer be procured. To ensure that the new brakes work with the sector gates as intended, specific torque ranges will be needed when energized to fully release the brake shoes from the drum brake to allow the sector gates to travel in the open or close direction. When de-energized it forces the brake shoes against the drum brake so that the sector gates come to a complete stop when intended from control panel at each of the control stands. Please refer to section 6 in the purchase document for detailed specifications for the brake assemblies. The exhibits 1-3 are for reference only.
