Under this Solicitation Notice the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District issues Solicitation Notice W912P624B0011 Michigan City Breakwater Repairs (USACE ACQUISITION). ******* Note: The Pre-Solicitation for this requirement was published under Solicitation Number W912P623B0007. Note that this requirement is now being solicited under W912P624B0011. ******* PROJECT INFORMATION: ******* For the East Pier, this project consists of partial demolition of the existing East Pier concrete cap at the northwest end of the structure, full steel sheet pile (SSP) encapsulation of the existing pier, filling of voids in the existing timber cribbing, and construction of a new reinforced concrete pier cap and bollards. The new reinforced concrete cap will be constructed to approximate the existing top of cap elevations, with a small elevation increase similar to that previously designed for East Pier structural repairs. ******* For the Detached Breakwater, this project consists of armor stone placement along a portion of the breakwater on the western end of the structure, similar to previous work that has been completed on other portions of the breakwater.
