This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District to inform interested/potential contractors of the District's imminent issue of an Invitation for Bid Package for its construction project entitled, "VILLAGE OF CRESTWOOD, IL WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS - SECTION 219 (USACE ACQUISITION)" PROJECT INFORMATION: This project is located at the Village of Crestwood, Illinois within the West Playfield subdivision. The construction work generally consists of installation of approximately 9,000 lineal feet of 6-inch ductile iron water to include valves, hydrants, fittings, water service replacements, as well as various surf ace restoration. Replacement of the water main distribution systems in the project area is needed to replace old deteriorated water distribution pipes, valves and hydrants, improve water quality issues and reduce the amount of unaccounted water losses. CONTRACTING OFFICE: United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District, 231 South LaSalle Street, Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60604. ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is RESTRICTED to SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. The North American Industry System Classification Code is 237110, with a small business size standard in dollars of $36.5M. The magnitude of cost for construction is estimated between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Solicitation package (Invitation for Bids - "IFB") will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Once the package is released into advertisement at this website ("Federal Business Opportunities"), interested bidders may download the full package, includes: specification and drawings files. The Solicitation package is planned for advertisement on or about August 6, 2019.
