This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District to inform interested/potential contractors of the District's imminent issue of an Invitation for Bid Package for its construction project entitled, CSSC Cooling System Upgrade, Lockport, IL. (USACE Acquisition)." PROJECT INFORMATION: Work to be completed in the Power Quality Building, 90 E Old Romeo Rd. Lemont , IL. The equipment in the Power Quality building produces heat, which causes undesired temperatures due to poor and insufficient existing cooling equipment. These conditions are a hazard to operations personnel when occupying this building. The building will require the installment of two exhaust fans along with minor ductwork & diffuser modifications, which will satisfy the requirements. The North American Industry System Classification Code is 239220, with a small business size standard in dollars of $15.0 Million. The magnitude of cost for construction is estimated between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The Solicitation (Invitation for Bids – “IFB”) will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY. The project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Once the package is released into advertisement at this website ("SAM.gov"), interested bidders may download the full package, includes: specification and drawings files The Solicitation package is planned for advertisement on or about the January 10th 2023 with bids due 30 days after the posting of the announcement.
