Blair, Contracting Chief, USACE-Chicago District. This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation Notice for commercial items issued pursuant to FAR Part 12. Under this notice, the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago District (USACE) is issuing a request for quotations (RFQ)) for an underwater inspection of a steel sheet pile cutoff wall at the Indiana Harbor and Canal-Confined Disposal Facility (IHC-CDF) located in East Chicago, Indiana. The AZ46 steel sheet pile is a 2,118 linear-feet structure designed to prevent the flow of residual hydrocarbons from the former Sinclair Oil Refinery into the Lake George Branch of the Indiana Harbor and Canal. COMPETITION FOR THIS ACQUISITION IS SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES. AN OFFEROR MUST BE HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN THE SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT WHEN PLACING AN OFFER/PROPOSAL PACKAGE FOR THIS ACQUISITION.
