A Sources Sought Notice was previously posted for this future project under Announcement No. W912P618S00003, posted to FBO.Gov on December 15, 2018. The project description has changed as follows - GOVERNMENT REQUIREMENTS: Under the Contract, the contractor will be responsible for providing construction services to help stabilize the existing crib structure for the Chicago Lock's North Pier. The current 450 foot sheet pile wall on the river side is supported by tie rods that are corroding and tied to a failing structure. This project may include, but is not currently limited to: drive sheet pile on the lake side, remove and replace stone as needed, install tie rods from the new sheet pile wall to existing wall on the river side, demolition of existing concrete tunnel, replacing concrete walkway, contracting retaining wall, relocate utilities from the tunnel, constructing new duct bank for utilities. Drive Sheet pile on the lake side, approximately 70 FT behind the existing riverside sheet pile wall. Remove and replace stone as needed, through the drive line. Remove and dispose of concrete slab on the river side between tunnel and promenade. Remove backfill beneath concrete slab, exposing existing tie rods. Install new tie rods on 6 ft centers between existing tie rods. Place backfill and additional stone as needed to support new cast in place slab. East End Condition. Terminate sheet pile anchor wall approximately 3 ft east of the eastern most new tie rod. West End Condition. Construct deadman anchor. Same concept to be used as previous section through the lake. Extents into the parking lot needs to be large enough for typical vehicles to turn onto the pier. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of construction cost is estimated between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. REQUESTED INFORMATION: This Agency requests that interested contractors complete the following questions to assist the government in its efforts to conduct market research. 1. Firm's name and BUSINESS SIZE, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. 2. Is your company currently registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) formerly known as the Central Contractor's Registration (CCR) Database? If not, has it been registered or does it plan to register? 3. In consideration of NAICS code 237990 with a small business size standard in dollars of $36.5M, which of the following small business categories is your business classified under, if any? Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Woman-Owned Small Business, HUBZone Small Business, or 8(a) Business. 4. Is the potential offeror capable of obtaining performance and payment bonds for a project valued between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000? 5. Is the potential offeror a small-business interested in performing as a subcontractor or a prime? 6. Does the potential offeror have experience in the work described for this project?
