This is not a solicitation. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this survey. Only contractors capable of performing this type of work and within a 50-mile radius of Lake Barkley Power Plant should respond to this Request for Information. Response to this Sources Sought is for market research purposes. As of now, this will be a Small Business set-aside but if there is an abundance of interest from a specific socioeconomic category, changes may occur. Requirement: This is for the purchase and installation of a replacement of one air conditioning unit and associated accessories in the Barkley Power Plant (8439 US HWY 62 W, Kuttawa, KY 42055). The Power Plant HVAC system is unique because the common unit has field mounted condensers that utilizes water drawn from Barkley Lake to provide a source of cooling. The existing units are Carrier (www.Carrier.com) Model 50XCR A/C Remote CV (10 tons) with two 5 ton Model SST500A external field mounted Standard Refrigeration (www.stanref.com) water cooled shell and tube condensing units.
