W912P523Q0037 PURPOSE: The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation for the procurement of eight (8) WEG Brake Motors to Wilson Lock in Florence, Alabama. This is a Pre-solicitation Notice. This Notice is being issued for planning and informational purposes only. This notice is not a solicitation, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice, nor will the Government accept proposals as a result of this Notice. The Scope of Work for this requirement will only be available upon solicitation issuance. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) anticipates a requirement for a firm fixed-price commercial supply contract. The contractor shall furnish and deliver a quantity of Eight (8) WEG Brake Motors to Wilson Lock in Florence, Alabama. The disk brake parts should be assembled / prefabricated with the motor parts prior to delivery. Especially, the 3HP brake motor should be prefabricated as a special brake motor. The disk brake’s capacity shall be the same or equivalent to the existing one. (The existing brake assembly information is mentioned in the Notes in the attached scope of work) The assembled brake motor shouldn’t be bigger than the recommended dimension in the attached scope of work.
