The Nashville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a firm fixed-price construction contract. The work includes construction of the Barkley Dam Site Water Supply Lines which includes demolishing the existing and installing the new vertical section of the 3-inch treated water line and the 2-inch compressed air line in the powerhouse hoistway (approximately 120 feet). This will include a condensate drain, service outlet, and any valves in the existing system. Replace all vertical hangers (fourteen total). The new water and air line must be installed in the existing blockout in the hoistway at Barkley Dam Site near Grand Rivers, Kentucky. Location: The work is located at Barkley Dam Site near Grand Rivers, KY. Exact locations for work at Barkley Dam Site are indicated in the contract drawings. The site visit request forms are attached.Each individual will be responsible providing his/her own safety equipment (i.e. hard hats, steel toed safety shoes, etc.). Contractors who are interested in attending the site visit are strongly encouraged to submit the site visit request form as soon as possible to avoid missing the submission deadline for the forms. Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where work is to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of the contract performance (FAR 52.236-27 Alternate 1, Site Visit (Construction)).QUESTIONS: Questions must be submitted in Projnet Bidder Inquiring using the Quick Key in the solicitation no later than 18 August 2023.
