Sources Sought Notice for USACE- Nashville Support for Wolf Creek Liquid Oxygen Cryogenic Facility NAICS CODE: 236210- Industrial Building Construction The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 Description: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Nashville District (LRN), is conducting market research to seek information from potential contractors on the construction contract to complete a liquid oxygen cryogenic facility at Wolf Creek Dam near Jamestown, Kentucky. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This is a Request for Information (RFI) and is for planning purposes only as defined by FAR 15.201. This is not a solicitation announcement, nor is it an Invitation for Bid (IFB), Request for Proposal (RFP), or Request for Quote (RFQ). No solicitation is currently published. This request does not obligate the Government in any contract award. The Government will not pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of such information. Do not submit cost proposals or cost information. Response to this notice is strictly voluntary and will not affect any firm's ability to submit a proposal if and when a solicitation is issued. The information gathered will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Replies to responses, comments, or suggestions will not be provided. The overall scope of the project is to partially design and construct a liquid oxygen cryogenic facility to support a reservoir dissolved oxygen diffuser system at Wolf Creek Dam. The cryogenic facility design and construction will consist of the following: Demolition and Site Preparation Facility Foundation Construction Security Fence Installation Access Road Asphalt Paving Oxygen Filling Area Concrete Placement Prefabricated Metal Structures Installation Acquisition and Installation of Cryogenic Storage Tanks Cryogenic Piping Installation Acquisition and Installation of Ambient and Pressure Build Vaporizers Header Distribution Installation Valve Control System Installation Electrical Distribution System Design and Installation Pressure Regulator and Gauges Installation Facility Control System Design and Installation One Season Liquid Oxygen Supply The attached form “Request for Information” is requested from Contractors interested as a prime contractor in this project.
