The Contracting Officer may exercise the option by written notice to the Contractor within 90 days after the date of contract award. Exercise of the option will NOT extend the period of performance/delivery date. The Contractor will be responsible for the following activities/items: a. Removal of existing equipment. b. Installation of three (3) new SF6 circuit breakers and associated control cables. c. Modification to direct operator controls or additions, where required. The Bidders bid must be received by the Government by the date/time specified in the solicitation. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Nashville District, anticipates soliciting a requirement for a firm fixed price construction contract to remove three (3) existing oil circuit breakers and to provide and install three new modern day SF6 vacuum breakers at Laurel River Dam. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The types of work and skill sets for this requirement are as follows: a) Removal of existing equipment. b) Installation of three (3) new SF6 circuit breakers and associated control cables. c) Modification to direct operator controls or additions, where required. An organized site visit is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, June 21, 2022.
