PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Nashville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB), for the removal of all loose rust, paint, dirt, dust, and other foreign material that would prevent proper coating. Contractor shall be responsible for providing adequate protections and devises to prevent impacts to the environment and to protect the structure, which is on the historic register. Contractor shall be responsible for painting Upstream Approach Wall Corner Armor (~850 LF), Chamber Corner Armor (~850 LF), Downstream Approach Wall Corner Armor (~8000 LF), and Check Posts (53 total). Optionally the Vertical Armor of the Mooring Bit Recesses (Option 1), shall be painted to the summer pool elevation (approx. 100 LF). A second option will be for the painting of the vertical armor at the ladder recesses (approx. 400lf). All work shall be conducted in strict accordance to the project’s specifications and plans. The intended period of performance is 217 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
