The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District has a need for Construction Activities for the Moccasin Bend Bank Stabilization requirement. The general scope of work includes transportation services encompassing barge delivery and placement of approximately 16,000 tons of riprap and aggregate, and 13,600 sq. yards of geotextile fabric combined with bioengineering for approximately 2,000 feet of bank stabilization to include 3,000 cubic yards of soil fill, 2,200 sq. yards of geogrid, and tree/shrub planting on the Tennessee River at Moccasin Bend Archaeological District in Chattanooga, TN immediately upstream of the Moccasin Bend Golf Course facility. The placement is to be accomplished from the river. Peripheral tasks include very limited excavation, clearing - with debris and excavated material removal via barge, and implementation of temporary erosion control measures. Award for this requirement will not be made until the execution of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the USACE Nashville District and all local Native American Tribes in the Moccasin Bend requirement area of operations.
